One of my most favorite holiday sides growing up was Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce. You know the kind – the ruby-red cylinder of solid jelly that came pre-marked with it’s “just slice here” ridges from the can. It made a distinct noise as it wiggled free and slid from the can. A jiggly wedge tops every single bite of my holiday dinners.
It’s extremely easy to make a really good cranberry sauce at home. I like mine spiked with a bit of orange but if you’re more of a purist, replace the OJ with water and leave out the zest and ginger.
