If “sweet and mild” is what you’re looking for in a pasta sauce (and you like onions), this recipe is for you.
Onion and Tomato Pasta Sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
3 sweet onions, chopped
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
8 oz can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp parsley, chopped
Parmesan for garnishing
Saute onions in oil until transparent, add milk and cook for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and parsley, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour sauce over cooked pasta, toss, and serve with grated cheese.
