Margarita Recipes for Cinco de Mayo

Who else has tequila and limes at the top of their weekend shopping list? Since Cinco de Mayo falls on a Saturday this year (woohoo!), I’m preparing for a big weekend. I’ve already stocked the freezer with 3 jars full of lime juice for next weekend’s festivities.

We’re mashing together a pool party with our Cinco celebration. Because what sounds like a better idea than drinking and swimming in a pool with no lifeguard on duty? I’m still hammering out the final details on our menu, leaning toward things that I can prep ahead of time (or at least do most of the prep work) and is easy to serve rewarmed or at room temp. I know there will be queso, guacamole, and plenty of margaritas.

I probably don’t need anything else 🙂

Preparations for our annual “Cinco de Wiley” celebration are in full force… I was a little stumped on the menu b/c I try to change it up every year to keep our friends guessing, but you’ve given me some new inspiration!! Too bad we don’t live in the same city – we could throw one killer party together! 😉
